Weather Discussion for Wednesday March 13, 2019

Normal high/ low temperatures for Mar 11-Mar 18  (high/low) Redding 66/43, Chico 64/41, Quincy 57/29, Chester 51/25, Susanville 53/29, Grass Valley 58/36, Weaverville 60/31, Mt. Shasta 55/31, Yreka 57/30, Alturas 52/24

This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

Note the satellite links will be not quite right due to new satellite.

High pressure is now along and over the west coast and as the map below shows will hold there through early next week.  This means through the weekend the north state will see partly to mostly sunny skies with daytime temperatures a few degrees above normal.  There will be locally gusty north winds today and Thursday.  

The next chance of rain looks like the mid part of next week as a weak low pressure moves under the ridge and into California.
