The low pressure area is now just off the coast and will move across Northern and Central California today and early Sunday. Expect rain over the area today with snow levels 1500 to 2500 feet north and 2000 to 3000 feet in the south. The precipitation will turn to showers early Sunday and decrease during the day. Sunday afternoon and Monday the north state should see partly mostly sunny skies with light to moderate north winds.
Tuesday a weak low pressure trough wil brush the area with light rain or showers. Snow levels will be 5000 feet.
We finally will see some dry weather Wednesday through the weekend as a high pressure ridge will be along the west coast (see map below). Look for sunny skies and slightly above normal temperatures.
