Weather Discussion for Monday March 11, 2019

Normal high/ low temperatures for Mar 11-Mar 18  (high/low) Redding 66/43, Chico 64/41, Quincy 57/29, Chester 51/25, Susanville 53/29, Grass Valley 58/36, Weaverville 60/31, Mt. Shasta 55/31, Yreka 57/30, Alturas 52/24

This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

Partly to mostly sunny today as a weak high pressure ridge is over the area.   Tuesday a weak frontal system will brush the north end of the state.  This front will bring a few showers to the foothills and mountains.  Snow levels will be around 5000 feet.

Wednesday through the weekend we will finally see some drying.   High pressure will be along and over the west coast (see map below).   The northstate will see sunny skies with above normal.
