This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

High pressure continues over the Gulf of Alaska with a closed low pressure area south of it.  The low is moving slowly eastward.  Today and Thursday we will continue see temperatures 10 to 15 degrees above normal.  Gustly north winds will occur some areas this morning.

Friday the low will be approaching the coast and temperatures will begin to cool and we will see a few clouds.  Saturday there will be a few showers over the higher elevations of the north state with a chance of an isolated shower in the valley.  Sunday we will see partly cloudy to partly sunny skies.  Temperatures Saturday and Sunday will be below normal.

Monday a stronger closed low pressure area will be approaching the coast (see map below).   This system will bring more widespread showers to Northern California Monday and Tuesday and will keep temperatures below normal.

This system will be east of our area by Wednesday and high pressure will be back along the coast.
