This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.
Yesterday's blog talked about the high pressure ridge weakening this weekend as a low pressure trough moved into western Canada. The ridge is still going to weaken. However, it now looks like the low won't go into Canada but will stall off the coast (see map below).
Today through Friday expect temperatures a little above normal and then cooling to a little below normal on the weekend. Dense smoke covers all of Northern California this morning and will probably persist into the weekend. Winds will be light nights and mornings and southwest to northwest in the afternoons.
Next week it looks like the off shore low will weaken and move north and the high pressure area will shift back over the west coast. More heat....
