This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.
High pressure is over the west coast and today we will sunny skies and hotter temperatures. Some areas of the north valley will reach the 100 degree mark. Sunday the high shifts eastward and for the next 7 to 10 we will be under a normal summer weather pattern like the one shown below. The jetstream or storm track will be to our north. Sunday through next weekend the inland areas of the north state will be partly to mostly sunny. There will be a few clouds at times and Thursday afternoon there could be isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms over Siskiyou and Modoc counties. Temperatures will be running a 3 to 7 degrees above normal and winds will be light.
