This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

A weak low pressure area is moving northeastward toward Northern California (see satellite picture below).  This is the first of several systems that will move across the north state between today and have early Saturday.  None of these are very strong or cold.   This afternoon through early Saturday we will see periods of rain or showers with snow levels 6000 feet or higher.   Gusty south winds will occur over the higher elevations.

Saturday afternoon through midday Monday expect partly cloudy to partly sunny skies with light winds. and normal or slightly above normal temperatures.

Monday afternoon another low pressure area will be approaching the coast (see map below).  This system will bring more rain to our area Monday through early Wednesday.  Snow levels will continue high.
