This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.
We will see a few clouds today and Tuesday as frontal systems move through the Pacific Northwest and brush the north end of California. There could be a few light showers over the northwest corner of the state.
Starting Wednesday and for the next 10 days and possibly through mid February there will be a strong high pressure ridge along the west coast (see map below). This means a return of dry weather with mostly sunny days, above normal daytime temperatures and periods of gusty north winds.
