This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.
MERRY CHRISTMAS...The high pressure ridge continues to slightly breakdown and then reform over California. Interesting point is that the Pacific Northwest has had about normal precipitation. This morning's satellite picture below shows the ridge in place and the map below doesn't show much change by Saturday.
Other than a few clouds Tuesday as a frontal system passes by to our north the northstate will be partly to mostly sunny with a few high clouds at times. Daytime temperatures will be above normal.
A weak frontal system will bring some showers to the areas north of Redding late Sunday and Monday.
