This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

Strong high pressure will continue along and over the west coast through Thursday.   Northern California will see sunny skies with some high cloudiness.  Daytime temperatures will continue above normal with light winds.

Late Thursday and Friday the high will weaken as a low pressure trough moves through the Pacific Northwest (see map below).  The north state will see some mid and high cloudiness from this system and temperatures will cool a few degrees.

Saturday the high pressure area rebuilds along the coast and will hold there through the mid part of next week.   This means more dry and mild weather with gusty north winds Friday through Monday.

The longer range forecast models show a cold low pressure area moving through Northern California around the 20th to the 22nd.   This system does not look like it will have much moisture with it.
