Normal high and low temperatures for Oct 23-Oct 30  (high/low)...Redding 73/46, Chico 74/44, Quincy 65/30, Chester 62/30, Susanville 61/31, Grass Valley 67/40, Weaverville 67/33, Mt. Shasta 61/33, Yreka 63/33, Alturas 62/26

This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

The strong high pressure area continues over our area.  Today we will see sunny skies with daytime temperatures 15 to 20 degrees above normal.  Winds will be light.  The high pressure area will hold in place for 7 to 10 days but will slowly weaken starting this weekend (see map below).  Skies will be mostly clear...temperatures will cool to 8 to 12 degrees above normal by Monday and Tuesday....winds will be light.

The forecast models indicate a shift to a cooler, wetter weather pattern around the 5th of November.
