This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.
Strong gusty north to northeast winds will continue through tonight and then begin decreasing by early Sunday. The winds will be light by Sunday afternoon. Today through midweek we will have mostly clear skies. Temperatures will warm to around 10 degrees above normal by Monday and then slowly cool through Wednesday. Winds will be light.
Late Thursday and Friday a low pressure trough will move through the area (see map below). This system will be strong enough to bring rain to the foothills and mountains and light showers to the rest Northern California. Snow levels will be 6000 to 7000 feet. Precipitation amounts will be light.
Skies will be clearing late Friday and the weekend will be sunny with near normal temperatures.
