This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

For the next 5 days we will continue under a large scale weather pattern where low pressure areas move across western Canada and the Pacific Northwest and then drop into the Great Basin and Central U.S.  The southern end of these systems will brush the far north end of the state.

Today and most of Tuesday we will see sunny skies.  The gusty north to northeast winds will begin to decrease this afternoon,  Temperatures will be a little above normal.   Late Tuesday and early Wednesday the next trough or frontal system will brush the north end of the state.  We will see a few clouds with a chance of a light shower near the Oregon border.  Another round of strong and gusty north to northeast winds will begin Wednesday afternoon and evening and continue through Friday.   During this time the north state will be mostly clear with near normal temperatures.

The winds will subside by the weekend as another weak frontal system brushes the north end of the state.
