The low pressure area is now over Nevada and will remain there through early Wednesday.   During this time the north state will have mostly sunny skies with a few clouds and isolated showers along and east of the Sierra Cascade Crest.   Strong and gusty northeast winds will continue.   Temperatures will be below normal today but will slowly warm to near normal by Wednesday.

The low will be moving eastward Wednesday,  Thursday through early next week high pressure will be along the coast (see map below).  This will bring sunny skies and above normal temperatures to Northern California.
