This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

A fairly strong high pressure ridge continues along the west coast.  The ridge will weaken a little this weekend (see map below) but still will be strong enough to keep the jetstream to our north.  Skies will be mostly sunny with a few mid and high clouds at times.  Temperatures today through Wednesday will be  5 to 10 degrees above normal.  Temperatures will cool a little late in the week but will still be above normal.  Gusty north to northeast winds will occur in some areas today and Tuesday.

The longer range maps show the high pressure ridge holding through the first week of October.
