This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

The high pressure ridge has shifted a little eastward.  This has allowed temperatures to cool to near normal.   Today and Thursday the inland areas of Northern California will be sunny with near normal temperatures.  Winds will be light.

Friday through early next week the high pressure ridge will rebuild over the western U.S. (see map below).  Skies will continue mostly clear...but there will be increased afternoon cumulus clouds over the mountains Sunday and Monday with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm.  Temperatures will warm back above normal.

Longer range forecast models show the ridge weakening late next week which will bring a little cooling.
