Weather Discussion for Wednesday July 12, 2017

Normal high and low temperatures for July 10-July 17 (high/low)...Redding 98/66, Chico 97/61, Quincy 90/44, Chester 86/46, Susanville 89/51, Grass Valley 88/57, Weaverville 94/50, Mt. Shasta 86/51, Yreka 92/53, Alturas 89/45

This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

Still looking for a change in the weather to write about.  High pressure is still over the western and central U.S.   It will weaken a little late Sunday as a low pressure area moves into western Canada (see map below).  

The next 7 to 10 days the inland areas of Northern California will be clear. Daytime temperatures today through Sunday will be 3 to 8 degrees above normal and then cool back to near normal early next week.  Winds will be light.
