This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.
High pressure is over the western U.S. and little change in the large scale weather pattern is expected for the next 3 or 4 days. The inland areas of the north state will be mostly sunny with fog and low clouds at the coast. Temperatures will a few degrees above normal and winds will be light.
Early next week the high pressure ridge will shift a little eastward and strengthen. This will result in the weather pattern show below, which will hold into next weekend. Northern California will see a couple degrees of cooling. Some subtropical moisture will be pulled northward and this will result in a chance of thunderstorms along the Sierra Cascade Crest Wednesday.
