High pressure continues over the western U.S.  Sunny today with temperatures about like yesterday or a couple of degrees cooler.   Tuesday through Friday the high pressure ridge will shift a little eastward and this will result in a strong high pressure ridge over the central U.S. (see map below)  Tuesday through Friday the north state be sunny with temperatures about normal.  There is a chance of isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms along the Sierra Cascade Crest on Wednesday.  Winds will be light night and mornings and then southerly in the afternoon.

The high will shift back to the west by the weekend and this will bring our temperatures back above normal.
