This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

The high pressure ridge that has dominated our weather is beginning to weaken and move eastward as a low pressure trough moves into western Canada.  Today the inland areas of the north state will be sunny with temperatures a couple degrees cooler than yesterday.   Tuesday through Thursday temperatures will cool to normal or a couple of degrees below normal.  This means Redding should end its' run of 100 degree days.  Winds will be light in the morning and south to southwest in the afternoon.

Friday through the weekend the high pressure area will rebuild over the western U.S. (see map below).   This will warm temperatures back to above normal.
