This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

It looks like we will see a normal summer weather pattern over the next week.   High pressure will be over the western U.S. and off the coast (see map below).  This high won't be as strong as the one last week and therefore we won't see really hot weather.   The next 7 to 10 days the inland areas of the north state will be sunny with night and morning fog and low clouds at the coast.  Temperatures today will be near normal and then above normal Thursday through Sunday...with some areas in the north valley near or just above the 100 degree mark.  Temperatures drop back to near normal early next week.  Winds will be light nights and mornings and south to southwest in the afternoon.   The exception will be Saturday and early Sunday when gusty north winds will occur in some areas.
