This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

Little change in the weather through Saturday, the strong high pressure ridge will continue over the western U.S. and off the west coast.   High temperatures will continue at record levels.  Gusty north winds will occur today and Thursday.

Sunday we will see a few degrees of cooling.  More cooling will occur Monday and Tuesday as the high pressure weakens due to a low pressure area moving into western Canada (see map below).  Temperatures by Tuesday will be down to normal or a few degrees above.  Sunday afternoon and Monday afternoon there will be isolated thunderstorms over the northern and eastern mountains.
