Weather Discussion for Wednesday May 17, 2017

This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

Summertime weather pattern developing, so no much to write about.  High pressure is is building along the west coast and by the weekend and early next week a strong high pressure ridge will be over our area (see map below).   The next week we will see mostly clear skies.  Temperatures will warm and by the weekend will be 12 to 18 degrees above normal with the north valley in the upper 90s to near 100.  Light to moderate north winds will occur today and Thursday with light winds Friday through the weekend.
