This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

This week the blog will be updated on Friday the 10th instead of Saturday.

The main frontal band moved through yesterday.   However the low pressure trough is sill along the coast and will move across the north state today.   This trough will trigger showers and thunderstorms as it moves through. Snow levels will be 4000 to 5000 feet.   The showers will end tonight.

Saturday high pressure will be building along and over the coast.  We will have partly to mostly sunny skies with normal temperatures and light to moderate north winds.   The high pressure ridge will hold through Tuesday for continued partly to mostly sunny skies.   Temperatures will be above normal and winds will be light.

Wednesday the high will be breaking down as the jetstream...once again...takes aim at Northern California (see map below).   This means another period of wet and windy weather.   The first storm will bring precipitation to the area Wednesday night and Thursday and will be followed by another system on the weekend.
